My Story

My name is Stevie, I am a studio potter working from a garden shed in Holmwood.

I enjoy experimenting with new ideas and produce a variety of individually decorated and functional stoneware.

Retiring from my day job as a Maths teacher in 2010, I started to spend more time on my hobby. Living in Provence for a while, I worked with painted earthenware but on returning to Surrey my focus turned to stoneware which is reduction-fired in a gas kiln.

In addition to Bookham Country Market, I sell at local craft fairs and village shows and in June 2021 I took part in the annual Surrey Open Studios event.
