I have lived in Bookham for over 20 years and become much more involved with the Country Market in recent times when we resurfaced after lockdown in June of this year. In the past I have produced Christmas cakes, birthday cakes, and speciality puddings for the market which I am still happy to do.

 

However, on a weekly basis I am now cooking some of the favourites that our customers enjoy, for example Victoria sponges, Brownies, Muffins, Lemon Drizzle cake, and scones, I usually alter the selection each week.

 

I cook on Thursday every week so the cakes are fresh for the Friday Market, when we are set up and are ready to open at 10am to welcome customers old and new.

I’ve lived in Bookham for over 25 years and enjoy baking cakes for the Bookham Country Market. I like to make a variety of smaller size cakes, often fruit tea-breads, lemon drizzle loaves or Victoria sandwiches.
